Favorite Quote=]

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

This quote is one of my all time favorites by Mother Teresa. She was a woman of wise words and had a sincere heart. Everything in this quote I would love to live by, but I'm human and I don't always make the best choices. The first time I read this beautiful saying I got chills beacause it was so moving to me. I realized that you have to be your biggest fan and not let other people get the best of you. When I was younger and even now, I would get so caught up in what people thought of me. I couldn't be the best I could be or try things because I was afraid of failure. I love to look at this quote whenever I don't have the confidence to do something because I'm worried of what my peers might think of me. I know God won't judge me. I'm so glad that I have family and friends that are very supportive in whatever I do.

Lenten Promise

For Lent this year, I decided I was going to try to go to mass more than once a week, pray more and give up sweets. I haven't done very well on the mass and prayer part, which is very selfish of myself. I am though doing very well with giving up sweets, dont get me wrong it is very difficult to do!! I really would like to buckle down in the next weeks with saving time for prayer and repentance. If I took ten minutes out of my day I think I would feel better about my relationship with Christ. I think teenagers really need to find time to bring Christ into their lives. Teenage years can be the hardest years in a person's life and is a very important for them to feel like they have someone that cares. The one person that always cares is God.

Future Career

What do you want to be when you grow up? Why are you interested in this career? Do you know someone who does this for a living? What kind of education or training will you need? Do you think that you will enter this career? Please title this entry Future Career.

I would love to do anything that involves fashion or interior decorating. I would never get bored with that ! I have always loved decorating because my mom loves it ! I love going thrift store shopping with her! We always find funiture and paint it, and then the piece looks totally unique and cute. Someday, I hope to own my own thrift store and a really cute boutigue. I also would love to decorate hotels or restraunts. I don't care if I don't make a lot of money! I just want to wake up every morning and love the job I have!!!

Service Project

Last summer I worked at 123 you and me, which was pretty much a day-care for little kids!
I found out about the service project at school and from friends. I thought it would be a great way to earn service hours.
I enjoy working with little kids. I love doing little kid things like coloring, swinging on the playground, watching Disney movies,
having nap time, and the list goes on! The other bonus to working there was I knew a lot of people doing service hours there as well.
I got over fifty hours and plan to work there again this summer. I learned that I love little kids, but don't want to have them for awhile! Kids take a lot of time, energy, and patience. This service project helped me learn that when you work with little kids you just have to have patience.

The Great Paul Harvey

Paul Harvey was the most listened-to radio personality in America and his broadcasts rank among  the top 10 of  radio network programs. It was said that Paul grew up in the newsroom. Harvey was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he made his own radio sets when he was a young boy.  His contributions to broadcasting and communications took him around the world and brought

him full circle back to Oklahoma for induction into The Hall of Fame. In St. Louis, Paul became the Special Events

Director and newsman at KXOK. ABC Networks have been bringing Paul to national radio audiences for over 50 years on over 1000 radio stations.  Paul was an incredible man who was witty and full of energy. Though Paul is gone he will be greatly missed. I will end this blog with some of his wise words. “In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.”
